If you are interested in becoming a member of the band, please contact us! Although there may not be an opening right away, we would like to know who you are, your instrument(s) and your background.

This is an "all volunteer" band, but much time and energy is expected of all members. Rehearsals are every Wednesday from 4:15 until 6:00pm in the auditorium of the Los Angeles Police Academy near Dodger Stadium.

Once a month each instrument family has a sectional rehearsal, beginning at 3:30 on Wednesday. There are usually two or more performances every month. If you read the history of the band, you will see that there are quite a few road trips as well. Be sure you can commit to this schedule.

Membership in the band in by invitation only. Additionally, there is a 90 day probationary period before final acceptance and the issuance of uniforms.

Swing Band members MUST be in the concert band. The only exception is for instruments not normally included (piano, guitar, etc.).
